Gradex owns heavy equipment which utilizes the most up-to-date GPS / Grade Control and UTS (Universal Total Station) systems available.
Due to the large equipment inventory, Gradex is able to quickly dispatch equipment utilizing our fleet of Low-Boy Tractor-Trailers to stay on schedule for any need that arises during the construction process. Gradex also calls on numerous local equipment rental companies to supplement our equipment fleet. Furthermore, due to our high volume of business in the construction industry, if certain pieces of equipment are unavailable, rental facilities will bring equipment from out of state to our job sites to keep the job on schedule.
This hightech inventory maintains a level of quality control knowing that finish grades will be correct per the plan specifications. These pieces also expedite the schedule as there is little to no need for traditional staking with lath and ribbon, as is seen on a majority of construction sites.

Even though Gradex is continually updating its large fleet of equipment, there are inevitably breakdowns and repairs that occur. Gradex runs a fleet of fully equipped service trucks capable of performing anything from a simple hydraulic hose repair to an entire engine replacement.
For any repairs that are too large to work on in the field, the piece of equipment is transported to our centrally-located shop facility at I-465 & Michigan Road. This facility is equipped to handle any needed repair.
In addition, Gradex runs its own fleet of grease and lube crews that maintain the equipment on a nightly basis in order to minimize any down time on the job throughout the day, apart from regularly scheduled maintenance.
