Gradex Crews Perform Daily Safety Analysis On All Job Sites
THA (Task Hazard Analysis)
Prior to the start of each work day, all of Gradex crews are responsible to generate and review a THA (Task Hazard Analysis). This report allows crews to review and document their expected tasks and associated safety hazards prior to the start of each work day, and discuss ways to maintain a safe working environment in order to complete these tasks.
Trenching & Excavation Permits
Furthermore, our pipe crews are expected to generate a Trenching & Excavation Permit documenting the trench conditions, what types of soils they expect to encounter, and what utilities they expect to cross during their excavation. This also generates discussion among the crew in order that the safest possible pipe installation procedures are being utilized.
This is all possible through the Gradex Safety Program that keeps our employees safe. Our Program Director is very active within the Indiana construction community and has lead the effort with the Gradex Safety Program to be involved with the following committees:
- ICA/INDOT/IOSHA/ISP Safety Joint Cooperative Forum
- ICA Partnership Enhancement Subcommittee
- IDOL/ICA Safety Partnership Member
- ICA Underground Pipeline Protection Task Force
Gradex takes safety very seriously. We continually update our safety program in order to reflect the ever-changing equipment in use and the way we perform tasks. This keeps Gradex on the cutting edge on all fronts of construction. It is our goal for everyone to go home safe at night.
