Each of our crews is led by a qualified Foreman or Superintendent with an average Gradex tenure of 15 years and combined knowledge of 635 years of experience.
The Gradex Crew
Field Crews
On average, Gradex employs a multitude of different crews available to work at any given time. These crews specialize in tasks ranging from clearing trees/brush, demolishing existing buildings/pavement, moving large quantities of earth, fine grading, and installing underground utilities.
Each of our crews is led by a qualified Foreman or Superintendent, trained in performing the task assigned to them in order to get a project completed on time and on budget. Gradex is proud to have a large majority of Foreman who stay with the company their entire career. The current average tenure of Foremen with Gradex is 15 years with a combined knowledge of 635 years of experience.
Of course, our supervision can’t complete a project without help. Gradex employs Operators and Laborers out of their respective union halls. A large percentile of the same union employees works with Gradex year after year.
Project Management Staff
Gradex’s project management staff consists of our Senior Project Managers, On-Site Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers. This provides owners of projects a vast array of knowledge and resources to work through unforeseen conditions that come up through the construction process, building on the objective from prior experiences.
The project management staff also works closely with owners to maintain updated schedules, provide pricing for change orders, as well as assistance in obtaining the necessary permits for the work to occur.
Accounting Department
Gradex employs an Accounting Department at our Carmel headquarters to help manage the financial side of the large volume of accounts that we undertake. This allows timely and accurate billings for owners of the projects, as well as prompt payments to our subcontractors and suppliers in order to maintain a good working relationship which keeps our subcontractors requesting to work with us.
Estimating Department
Our Estimating Department is fully capable of providing a prompt and detailed quote. We utilize AGTEK, Trimble Business Center, as well as other software packages to accurately compute the earthwork request on any particular site. Our team of Estimators work closely with owners before construction begins to generate money-saving ideas in order to reduce construction costs.
